IPL 2020: 'We have the best bowling combination in the last 4-5 years,' says SRH all-rounder Rashid Khan
Sunrisers Hyderabad all-rounder Rashid Khan believes that his team has the most balanced bowling combination in the last 4-5 years.
While SRH have lost the services of Mitchell Marsh and Bhuvneshwar Kumar due to injuries, youngsters like T Natarajan, Sandeep Sharma, Abhishek Sharma and Abdul Samad have stepped up and have helped the franchise scalp some important victories the IPL 2020 season.
Rashid Khan believes that these young players have immense self-confidence as well as a readiness to take up responsibilities. He said after their game against Kings XI Punjab:
"That's what happens when you have a good total on the board, the batsmen have to go after you. But you also have to bowl your best deliveries and that's what I was trying to do. It is a big loss for us to lose Mitch Marsh and Bhuvi. As a team we still have a good combination and the youngsters are taking the responsibility. We have the best bowling combination in the last 4-5 years."
The catch and run out from Priyam Garg changed the game: Rashid Khan
On the back of a brilliant 97 from Jonny Bairstow and a well-made 52 from David Warner, SRH managed to post a daunting total of 201-6 in their 20 overs. Youngster Priyam Garg also took an excellent catch to get rid of Simran Singh and sent Glenn Maxwell back through a brilliant run-out.
Rashid Khan believes that these contributions from Garg turned the game in SRH's favour. He said:
"We spoke about enjoying bowling and keep working hard in the field, that is something we have seen as well from Priyam - the catch and run out - changed the game."
SRH will play the Rajasthan Royals in their next game at Dubai on 11th October and will be looking to build on their winning momentum.
