IPL: 4 top players who didn't play a single match for Sunrisers Hyderabad
Sunrisers Hyderabad are traditionally known for their strong bowling line-up. The Hyderabad-based franchise has lifted the coveted trophy only once despite making playoffs thrice in 2013, 2016 and 2017.
Over the years, SRH have been mentored by some of the greats of the game, including the likes of VVS Laxman, Tom Moody, Muttiah Muralitharan, while the modern-day stars like Kumar Sangakkara, Yuvraj Singh, Lokesh Rahul, Mustafizur Rahman have had a chance to represent the franchise.
However, there have been some specialists of the T20 format who have not got a chance to play for SRH in IPL despite being picked in the auctions.
Let us take a look at those four players whose services have never been utilized by SRH
#4 Chris Lynn
The inclusion of Chris Lynn in this list will flabbergast many. The hard-hitting batsman from Australia was purchased by Sunrisers Hyderabad for their debut season in 2013 but didn't manage to feature in a single match that season.
The 28-year-old was later bought by Kolkata Knight Riders in 2014 auctions and has thus far scored 661 runs in 22 innings at an average of 34.79 and a strike rate of 147 in the Indian T20 League, with his 93 against Gujarat Lions in IPL 10 being his best.
The swashbuckling opener has been providing some solid starts for KKR this season by scoring 277 in 10 innings at an average of 30.78.
Had SRH tested Lynn in 2013 they would have found a pillar to their slightly weaker batting line-up.
