Mumbai Indians and Chennai Super Kings are the two most successful teams in the history of the Indian Premier League. Both the teams have been a part of the league since its inception and have won three IPL titles each.

While the Mumbai franchise won the title in the year 2013, 2015, and 2017, the Chennai Super Kings won the IPL in 2010, 2011, and 2018. Many legends like Sachin Tendulkar, Andrew Symonds, Ricky Ponting, and Sanath Jayasuriya have represented the Mumbai Indians whereas CSK has been home to legends such as MS Dhoni, Suresh Raina, DJ Bravo, Faf du Plessis, and many other superstars.

However, there have been 5 Indian players who have been lucky to be a part of both the franchises in the 11 years of the IPL. The list of those 5 players is as follows -

Harbhajan Singh was associated with the Mumbai Indians ever since the Indian Premier League's inception. The Turbanator donned the Mumbai Indians jersey in 136 matches and took 127 wickets for the franchise in the 10 years he played for them. His phenomenal off-spin bowling and big hitting down the order helped the Mumbai side win several matches but the Mukesh Ambani owned franchise decided to release him ahead of the 2018 IPL auction.

In the 2018 IPL auction, Chennai Super Kings bought the Punjab off-spinner for his base price of Rs 2 crore. In the 13 matches he played for CSK last year, he was able to pick 7 wickets and he has been retained by the franchise for the upcoming season as well.
