The Hit-man started his IPL career with Deccan Chargers and moved to Mumbai Indians when the franchise bought him for $2 million in the IPL auction 2013. He went on to captain his side in the 6th season of the league and since then has led his team to 3 IPL titles wins.
The ferocity in batting has not only earned him the nickname Hit-man but also seen him win 15 Man of the Match awards in 159 matches. Out of 15 MoM awards, 3 came while playing for the Deccan Chargers and 12 while playing for the Mumbai Indians.
