Chris Gayle smashed the fastest T20 hundred off 30 deliveries in an innings where he was at his mercurial best today as PWI bowlers bore the brunt of Gayle’s power hitting.

No Pune bowlers had the clue of where to bowl to this mercurial Jamaican. He brought up his hundred off just 30 balls, making it the fastest hundred in T20 cricket. The previous best was by Andrew Symonds who scored a hundred in 34 balls. At the time of writing, Gayle was still going all guns blazing as he had already smashed 13 sixes to go with 10 fours, to go with 4 singles and 7 dot balls.
