IPL 6: Match 14 - DD vs SRH - A statistical preview

Delhi Daredevils and Sunrisers Hyderabad will meet for the first time; however, the Delhi Daredevils leads 7-4 in terms of win-loss ratio against the earlier franchise from Hyderabad which went by the name Deccan Chargers.


Morne Morkel, with 45 wickets to his name, is just one wicket behind Amit Mishra who now plays for the Sunrisers, as the leading wicket-taker for the Delhi based GMR franchise.


Thisara Perera is among the very few players who have played for four franchises in IPL. He has represented four different franchises in four seasons of his IPL career; initially beginning with Chennai Super Kings in the 2010, then moving to Kochi Tuskers the following year, and then having to move to Mumbai Indians in 2012 as Kochi Tuskers got defunct and is currently with Sunrisers this year.


Sangakkara last week became the second wicketkeeper after Pakistan’s Kamran Akmal to complete 100 dismissals in T20 cricket.


Delhi Daredevils have a better record on the road than at home. Their win percentage at home is a lowly 43.33%, while it jumps up remarkably to 53.06% when they play out of Kotla.


What’s next in store for teams: Delhi Daredevils will be in action next on April 16 when they take on the Royal Challengers Bangalore in the garden city of Bengaluru.

Meanwhile, Sunrisers Hyderabad travel to Kolkata for their away tie against the defending champions and under pressure Kolkata Knight Riders on April 14.
