IPL 6: Match 27 - RCB vs RR - A statistical preview
Royal Challengers has the edge in terms of the head-to-head record with five wins, while Royals have four in the ten matches played between them so far. One match at M Chinnaswamy Stadium in Bangalore was abandoned due of rain.
Last season, both teams lost their respective home ties to the visitors. RR won the first league match in Bangalore by 59 runs before RCB avenged the defeat by winning the Jaipur tie by 46 runs.
Spin bowlers have had very little success on the flat track and smaller boundaries at the Chinnaswamy Stadium. This season they have only picked up six wickets in the four matches played so far.
Shane Watson needs just two more sixes to become the top six-hitter for Royals. He is currently lying second on 60, behind Yusuf Pathan who now plays for Kolkata Knight Riders.
What’s next in store for teams: Royal Challengers Bangalore will play hosts to Pune Warriors India on April 23.
Meanwhile Rajasthan Royals head to Chennai for their next tie against MS Dhoni’s troops on April 22.
