IPL 6: Player of the Week winner - Week 1
Keiron Pollard landed the most number of votes (36.45%) in the Player of the week poll earlier this week. The West Indian who features for Mumbai Indians, grabbed the top spot in a list which included players like Chris Gayle, R Vinay Kumar, Amit Mishra and Kevon Cooper.
Pollard’s West Indian teammate and Royal Challenger Bangalore’s Chris Gayle was the next best choice for the top spot, winning 24.51% votes.
Kieron Pollard, with his stellar all-round performance for Mumbai Indians, was the most popular choice of Sportskeeda readers for the player of the week award. Even though Mumbai has failed to fully utilise Pollard’s potential, he has managed to have a telling impact on the games whenever he has got a platform to show his talents, be it with bat or ball. Even in the field, he changed the game in favour of Mumbai Indians when he caught the dangerous MS Dhoni at long-on boundary at a very crucial stage in the match against Chennai Super Kings.
Here are the complete results:
1. Kieron Pollard – 36.45%
2. Chris Gayle – 24.51%
3. Amit Mishra – 18%
4. Kevon Cooper – 14.92%
5. R Vinay Kumar – 5.71%
The Week 2 nominees for Player of the Week award will be announced after the last match on this Sunday, 14th April.
