IPL 6: Player of the Week winner - Week 6

David Miller

David Miller of Kings XI Punjab is the winner of our Player of the Week section for the 6th week of this year’s Indian Premier League, with 30.18% of the votes.

The Australian southpaw won the maximum number of votes, beating the likes of Shane Watson (RR), Virat Kohli (RCB), Suresh Raina (CSK) and Jaydev Unadkat (RCB), who were the other nominees for the week.

David Miller became the fourth player to score a century in IPL 6, when he simply blasted his way to 101* off just 38 deliveries to win the match for his team from an almost impossible position against RCB at Mohali. He smashed 7 sixes and 8 fours in the innings.

Even though he could not shatter Chris Gayle’s record for the fastest century, his innings was big and fast enough to bring his team back from the jaws of defeat, and hand RCB yet another away loss.

Suresh Raina was the second on the list with 28.4% votes.

Below are the complete results of the poll.

1. David Miller- 30.18% (102 votes)

2. Suresh Raina- 28.4% (96 votes)

3. Shane Watson- 24.26% (82 votes)

4. Virat Kohli- 15.68% (53 votes)

5. Jaydev Unadkat- 1% (5 votes)
