IPL 6: PWI vs DD: Flops of the day

Pune hammered Delhi into the ground as they ensured last year’s table toppers ate humble pie this season by beating them by 38 runs at home. Delhi were left with the wooden spoon in their hands.

Here are the Flops of the Day:

Umesh Yadav

The Delhi speedster may have taken the first wicket, but Wright and co laid into him after he started spraying the ball around the pitch. 52 runs off his 4 overs left him scratching his head and his captain hiding his head. The elation felt after he claimed Uthappa’s wicket soon turned into terror as he was punished by Pune.

Morne Morkel

Delhi’s bowling giant let his team down along with his newball partner, never looking threatening as he conceded 36 runs in his four overs. His batting was no better as he got out for a golden duck.

Yuvraj Singh

The former darling of Indian cricket seems to have lost all of his batting skills and looked like he wanted to be somewhere else. His miserable seven-ball stay was mercifully ended by Sehwag who pouched the skier off Pathan’s bowling. His bowling was no better as he conceded 17 off his two overs of left arm spin.

David Warner

The Australian, who faces disciplinary action when he returns home, seemed to have left all of his firepower on Twitter as he nicked Parnell into Uthappa’s mits. He left the field whining about not having nicked the ball.
