IPL 6: RCB loss sends three teams through to the Play-offs
No sooner did Kings XI Punjab defeated Royal Challengers Bangalore by 7 wickets, it brought good news to three teams. As a result of this match, Mumbai Indians, Chennai Super Kings and Rajasthan Royals, who all are on 20 points, have now qualified for the play offs.
This effectively leaves as many as four teams fighting for one spot. The four teams who are in the race are Royal Challengers Bangalore, Sunrisers Hyderabad, Kolkata Knight Riders and Kings XI Punjab.
For RCB to qualify, they need to win their last match versus CSK, and then hope SRH lose both their matches against RR and KKR. For SRH to qualify, they need to win both their matches or win one and hope CSK beats RCB.
While for KKR and KXIP, the situation is similar. They have to win both their matches and hope RCB and SRH loses their respective ties.
