IPL Auction 2019: 5 top-notch overseas players with a base price of 50 lakhs
The Auction for the 2019 edition of the Indian Premier League is set to take place on the 18th of December. Among the 346 players going under the hammer, there are 120 capped and uncapped overseas players. Chennai Super Kings is the only team this season which has exhausted the maximum limit of overseas players and thus will not be able to pick any overseas player any further. The number of overseas players which other teams can pick is as follows:

- Mumbai Indians - 1
- Rajasthan Royals - 3
- Delhi Daredevils - 3
- Royal Challengers Bangalore - 2
- Kolkata Knight Riders - 5
- Kings XI Punjab - 4
The overseas players which will be on the radar of every team owing to their lucrative tag of 50 lakhs are as follows.
#1 Shimron Hetmyer
Shimron Hetmyer has made huge strides in international cricket since making his debut for the Windies in the ODIs and Tests in 2017. Hetmyer has been a key prospect for Windies cricket having captained the Windies to their maiden Under 19 World Cup title in 2016. The youngster was one of the top three run scorers in the recently concluded ODI series in the Windies tour of India. He was also the top scorer for the Windies with 256 runs in five games at an average of 51.80. He scored these runs with a strike rate of 140.
He was also the third highest run-scorer in the Caribbean Premier League in 2018. He scored 440 runs in 12 games for the Guyana Amazon Warriors with an average of 40. He scored these runs with a strike rate of 148.14 which was also one of the best in the tournament.
He was the most dangerous batsman for the Windies and posed a major threat to the Indian bowlers in the ODI series. His base price of 50 lakhs makes him all the more lucrative and he will definitely be a player who will be going for big money.
