IPL Fantasy 2018, DD vs RR - 4 suggestions to help you earn big money today
Well, so RCB have finally given their fans something to cheer about and more importantly, have left DD and MI at the bottom now. DD are now back in Dehli badly needing a win against a team that needs a win as well after losing to SRH more recently. So what are the chances of fans having a great outing in the fantasy? Here are some suggestions:
DD's batting trio
So DD are returning to the venue where they imposed themselves on KKR a few days ago. Prithvi Shaw and Shreyas Iyer had an absolutely cracking game scoring more than half of the runs for the team. The way Shaw batted was impressive whereas the new skipper Iyer pummeled the KKR bowlers enroute to an unbeaten 93. Yes, these two had a poor outing against CSK but now that they are back to their den, you must count on them to deliver again.
The short boundaries will help both the players yet again it is only safe to bring in Rishabh Pant into the mix. He had a rare failure that day against KKR but showed his worth against CSK. Out of these three, you can back at least two of them to succeed in these batting friendly conditions so I would suggest you to pick all three ahead of the likes of Rahul Tripathi and Jos Buttler.

Maxwell and Stokes for the axe
These two combined cost almost INR 22 crore in the IPL auction. But unfortunately, both Glenn Maxwell and Ben Stokes have hardly done anything noteworthy so far in this IPL. Considering the talent they possess, they can fire on any given day in any given situation but to invest heavily on them time and time again isn't a viable option anymore for fantasy users.
I would rather spend it on someone like Vijay Shankar, who would cost cheaper and he also had a good game recently. And then there is also someone like Jofra Archer who is already impressing since making his IPL debut. Unless you are a very big fan of either Stokes or Maxwell, I don't see any reason why you should pick either of them at least for now.
Samson, a sureshot inclusion
Sanju Samson has simply been a delight to watch this season in the IPL. The way he has timed the ball has been magnificent and it has also translated into plenty of runs for RR even though they haven't been able to capitalise on it. If there are any doubts about law of averages taking its toll on Samson, put them to the bin because there are a couple of important factors to consider here while picking Samson.
Not only is the Feroz Shah Kotla quite small, Samson played here in the last two seasons and has familiarity which is very important. He knows which side of the boundary to target for easy pickings and DD's bowling attack exactly doesn't exude confidence anyway.
Dala or Plunkett?
So Liam Plunkett endured a dream debut in the IPL when he picked up three wickets against KKR in DD's massive win. But the English pacer also was whacked by the CSK batsmen in Pune as he went on to record poor figures in his second game. With DD desperately needing wins, will they remove Plunkett already? Or will they give another opportunity at the Kotla where he impressed against KKR?
In that case, what about Junior Dala? If Plunkett is axed, Dala will be expected to slot straight into the XI and he does have a proven track record in the format. So with a lot of uncertainty prevailing, it's advisable to not pick both and instead choose the safe option - Trent Boult.
