IPL Fantasy 2018, DD vs SRH: 4 suggestions to help you earn big today

<p>

On one side, Mumbai Indians keep winning to keep their playoff hopes alive. Can DD follow it up with a win over SRH tonight to keep their slim chances alive as well? Considering the batting-friendly conditions at the Kotla, you have to give them a chance. So how should you lineup tonight in the fantasy? Here are some suggestions:

Lessons from the previous clash

Against the best bowling attack in the tournament on a surface that wasn't too kind to the batters, Delhi Daredevils were expected to struggle especially since they had a lot of flashy batsmen in their XI. But to our surprise, the likes of Prithvi Shaw and Shreyas Iyer came up with good performances initially before SRH fought back to restrict them to a decent score which they chased down. Tonight, expect this duo to be at their best again.

Despite SRH possessing a good attack, the Feroz Shah Kotla appears to be full of runs. The pitch isn't assisting the bowlers much, the boundaries are shorter and that will aide the stroke makers. So Prithvi and Shreyas are in for me. The same goes for someone like Alex Hales for SRH. He might have his issues against spin but he should be able to brush them aside at this venue.

Kane is a must

He has been an absolute class player to watch this IPL. Kane Williamson the skipper has been impressive and inspirational this season and he has seamlessly replaced David Warner. Apart from being an excellent leader, Williamson has been fetching runs as well. He has judged the conditions well very early into his innings and has played accordingly.

Whether it's anchoring a run chase or batting first and dominating an attack quite early, Williamson has showcased his adaptability skills in the T20 format. Had Warner been available, we would have probably seen Williamson warming the benches. But now, whenever SRH are playing, it's quite mandatory for you to have Williamson in your lineup no matter what. You can rely on him to deliver in almost every single game.

Mishra ji to the rescue

So if we are going to opt more for batsmen than bowlers at a venue such as this one, then what's the makeup of your bowling attack? Surely, you need some bowlers to complete your XI. Amit Mishra should be your first-choice option in the bowling department. The man has made a strong comeback this season ever since he got smacked by KL Rahul very early in the tournament.

He went for runs against KXIP once again but against other opponents, Mishra has bowled really well. The leggie has brought his experience to the fore by foxing the batsmen and had he found enough support at the other end, DD's fortunes could have changed long back.

Apart from Mishra, someone like Trent Boult can also be in contention considering the tournament he has had so far. SRH have plenty of options but I would go with someone like Rashid Khan as a safe option and in the pace department, I wouldn't want to spend a lot on Bhuvneshwar Kumar. I would rather settle for Siddarth Kaul.

The Maxwell conundrum

So what next DD? You have spent a fortune on Maxwell, he has failed repeatedly in the middle order, you gave him an opportunity at the top of the order where he got run out. The failures keep mounting. I reckon DD will give one more chance at the top of the order and despite the conditions being favorable for him, I still don't back Maxwell to get rolling today. His confidence is down and he is up against a top class attack. The wait will have to continue in all likelihood. But if you are willing to take a punt, then there is no bigger risk than this. If he clicks somehow, he is going to cause pure damage.
