IPL Fantasy, MI vs KXIP: Best XI to pick for today's match

<p>

Kolkata Knight Riders beat Rajasthan Royals convincingly yesterday to take a step closer to qualifying for the playoffs. They would still need to win their remaining game against SRH in order to qualify without waiting for other results. RR meanwhile will have to beat RCB by a good margin and hope MI & KXIP each lose one of their remaining matches to qualify. Five teams are still in contention after yesterday’s game for the remaining two playoff spots.

MI take on KXIP in a crucial encounter at Wankhede today. MI will have to win both their matches and need favorable results in other matches to qualify but a loss today will mean that they are out of the reckoning. KXIP’s NRR was badly hit due to their dismal performance in the last game against RCB but they don’t have to worry about NRR if they win both their remaining matches. Mujeeb looks like he has recovered from the injury that kept him out of the last game and will replace Stoinis in the playing eleven. Yuvraj or Tiwary might come in for Mohit or Rajpoot. MI are likely to continue with the same playing eleven as last game.

Here’s our suggestion for the playing XI in today’s games (5 core players who are a must have for today’s game are marked as “CP”).

Today’s Best Eleven for MI Vs KXIP

1.     Suryakumar Yadav- CP

2.     Chris Gayle-CP

3.     KL Rahul-CP

4.     Evin Lewis

5.     Rohit Sharma

6.     Karun Nair

7.     Krunal Pandya

8.     Hardik Pandya-CP

9.     Andrew Tye-CP

10.  Jasprit Bumrah

11.  Mujeeb Ur Rahman

Alternate Options

There are alternate options for the players who have not been listed under the Core players in the above eleven. You can consider these players in your team in place of those who are not core players.

1.     Ishan Kishan

2.     Mitchell McClenaghan

3.     Mayank Markande

4.     Ravichandran Ashwin

5.     Axar Patel

Captain Options

1.     Hardik Pandya – He had a poor game with the ball against RR but still managed to pick up two wickets. He has been contributing both with bat and ball and has been amongst the top wicket-takers in IPL this season.

2.     Chris Gayle – He has been in very good form but has been getting out for low scores in the last few games. A big one is definitely around the corner and there are chances that MI might bear the brunt of it.
