IPL 2017, Eliminator: SRH vs KKR, Player Ratings
The Kolkata Knight Riders defeated the Sunrisers Hyderabad by 7 wickets in a rain-affected the Chinnaswamy Stadium in Bengaluru. As a result, they qualified to take on Mumbai Indians in Qualifier 2 and knocked the SRH side out of the tournament.
Winning the toss, KKR captain Gautam Gambhir chose to field first. The bowlers did a superb job to restrict the Sunrisers to a mere total of 128/7. The match was interrupted by rain and KKR were given a revised target of 48 runs to chase in 6 overs via the D/L method.
The KKR batsmen faltered, losing three quick wickets at the start but then it was their skipper Gambhir who drove them home safely with an unbeaten knock of 32(19) and 4 balls to spare.

David Warner- 6/10
The SRH skipper David Warner tried his best to anchor the innings all the way till the end. It was a slowish track and runs were difficult to come by. Warner still kept the scoreboard ticking with occasional big hits. However, his promising innings was cut short when Piyush Chawla cleaned him up in the 13th over. He departed for a promising 37(35) leaving his team on 75/3.
Vijay Shankar- 6/10
Shankar was accelerating nicely towards the back end of the Sunrisers' innings. However, his knock was again cut short by Nathan Coulter-Nile. Shankar made 22 runs off 17 deliveries.
Rashid Khan- 6/10
The teenage Afghan sensation once again bowled in a superb manner. He conceded just 11 runs in his two overs.
Kane Williamson- 5/10
Williamson was looking quite good out in the middle of things last night. He hit Coulter-Nile for 2 well-timed sixes in an over. However, the bowler had the last laugh as Williamson gave away a simple catch to Suryakumar Yadav at cover.
Naman Ojha- 5/10
Ojha batted in the death overs of the Sunrisers' innings and scored a run a ball 16. He lost his wicket ultimately to Trent Boult right on the final delivery of the innings.
Chris Jordan- 5/10
Jordan got a golden duck wth the bat as he was dismissed by a superb caught and bowled effort from Coulter-Nile. However, he claimed 1-9 with the ball in his one over that included the wicket of Robin Uthappa(1).
Bhuvneshwar Kumar- 5/10
Kumar bowled the first over of the KKR innings. He picked up the wicket of Chris Lynn after being smashed for a six. He claimed bowling figures of 1-11 in 1 over. He also effected a superb run out to dismiss Yusuf Pathan.
Yuvraj Singh- 3/10
He scored just a run a ball 9 last night. It was Umesh Yadav who dismissed him in the 16th over of the innings.
Shikhar Dhawan- 2/10
Dhawan couldn’t muster anything of conviction and looked clueless. He managed only 11(13) as Umesh Yadav claimed his wicket in the 5th over of the Sunrisers' innings.
Siddharth Kaul- 1/10
It was his over that handed KKR the winning momentum. He bowled short lengths and Gautam Gambhir took full advantage of it smashing him away for 14 runs.
Bipul Sharma- NA
It would be quite unfair to rate him as he faced just three deliveries for his two runs and then bowled just a couple of deliveries with the ball.
