Is Team India ready for 2015 World Cup?

Now, it’s high time for India to get ready for 2015 World Cup. They are present World Champions and they need to defend it, but if you look at present condition of Indian team they are not in a position of defending their title. Where is team India lacking? Answer: Close followers of team India will say it’s BCCI and the team management who is responsible for it.

The main fault of BCCI is they are supporting there seniors who are under performing, and their best talents are sitting on the benches and getting wasted. This can be clearly seen in the case of Ajinkya Rahane. His debut looked like he was going to open all the matches for India, but because of poor team management he was considerably told to warm the benches, which resulted in his poor form. Same thing happened in the case of Manoj Tiwary, even if he performs he is kept out of playing 11 because of some senior who is not performing. Another case Yusuf Pathan, we all known what type of player his is, he is a big match winner, he showed his ability against South Africa when he scored brilliant 100 off 68 balls in crucial situation. He even showed his brilliance with bowling. Another huge name, Sourabh Tiwary, when he was in form nobody cared about him and now when he is not performing in IPL, team selectors are pointing him out and now same thing is happening is with Cheteshwar Pujara. He is in brilliant form and still he is kept out of playing 11, we don’t want another case of talent waste just like Ajinkya Rahane happening again.

On other hand, chances are given to Rohit Sharma, Gautam Gambhir, Virender Sehwag, Zaheer Khan and Harbhajan Singh, players who are not performing on international level whereas player like Jiwanjot Singh, CM Gautam, AM Nayar, IC Pandey, S Kaul, S Yadav are performing in Ranji Trophy and they are not given chances.

If BCCI want India to win 2015 World Cup, then they have to give young players who are performing well at state and national level a chance. Even the captain should be given some young players so that captain can see the performance of young players and and guide them. There are players such as Virender Sehwag and Zaheer Khan whose chances of playing in the 2015 World Cup are very less. Still BCCI is giving them chance to play at international level. If India has to win 2015 World Cup and defend their world championship, BCCI has to come up with some new strategies and give some new talent a chance.
