James Faulkner trolls Kevin Pietersen after he is sold to Rising Pune Supergiants
The off-field rapport between Kevin Pietersen and James Faulkner has been fodder for entertainment a lot of times in the recent past, and the two were at it again today. Pietersen would have been a relieved man after having been picked up for a decent INR 3.5 crores by new franchise Rising Pune Supergiants.
Faulkner is in the other new IPL franchise, the Gujarat Lions, picked up for INR 5.5 crore. Faulkner will be playing under Raina’s captaincy, while KP will be an invaluable boost to MS Dhoni’s new team.
Faulkner tweeted immediately after their bids, asking Pietersen, with tongue in cheek, if he was capable of buying him dinner after having been bought.
Pietersen had turned down Sunrisers Hyderabad last season in a bid to revive his England career, a failed attempt, which has nonetheless consisted of several stellar batting innings, especially in the T20 format.
Will you buy me dinner now @KP24 ?? #noexcuse

Faulkner and Pietersen have fostered a great relationship, playing together for the same side Melbourne Stars in the Big Bash League. The two friends never miss a chance to troll each other.
It will be a delicious encounter when they come up against each other when the two new franchises clash in IPL 9.
