After creating history in whites, where India became the first Asian team to win a Test series Down Under, the action shifts to the ODI series. The focus clearly is on the ICC Cricket World Cup in 2019 now, with India scheduled to play mainly ODIs and T20Is for the next 5-6 months.

India didn't get off to a flying start at the SCG in the first ODI as their over dependence on their top three came back to haunt them. The middle order looked out of sorts, with Mahendra Singh Dhoni prodding his way and supporting Rohit Sharma - who was magnificent in his knock of 133 runs, especially considering he scored his first run in the eighteenth ball he faced.

However, the loss hasn't deterred the spirit of the players as they left for Adelaide for the second ODI of the three-match series.

All-rounder Kedar Jadhav was seen showing his dance moves as the Indian team waited for departure from the airport. Jadhav danced like no one was watching and his moves left his teammates including opener Rohit Sharma in splits. A video of Jadhav's uber cool moves was shared on the Indian cricket team's official Instagram account.

The players seemed in a jolly mood as they departed for Adelaide. In what was a disappointing start for Virat Kohli's men in the ODI series, the Indian top order failed to deliver in Sydney which eventually built the pressure on the lower middle-order as the team failed to chase down the target of 289 runs with Rohit (133) and MS Dhoni (51) being the only batsmen who managed to show some resistance against a disciplined Aussie attack.

Both Shikhar Dhawan and Ambati Rayudu were sent back on a duck each, while skipper Virat Kohli managed to score only three runs before giving away a catch to Marcus Stoinis off the bowling of Jhye Richardson. The young Aussie pacer was sublime with the ball throughout the match as he finished with figures of 4/26 in his ten overs.

Jhye Richardson was awarded the Man of the Match award for his heroics with the ball as Australia took a 1-0 lead in the three-match series. The second ODI will be played in Adelaide on Tuesday (January 15).

Meanwhile, Vijay Shankar and Shubman Gill have been roped in as replacements for suspended Hardik Pandya and KL Rahul. While Vijay Shankar will join the rest of the squad in Australia, Shubman Gill has been picked solely for the New Zealand series.

Looking at the wobbly middle-order and the fact that Kedar Jadhav adds additional weight through his uncanny off-spinners, it won't be surprising to see him dancing into the playing XI ahead of a Dinesh Karthik or Ambati Rayudu who looked out of sorts against the seam and pace of the Aussies at the SCG.
