Kevin Pietersen to begin new innings as cricket columnist
Telegraph Sport have declared that former England batsman Kevin Pietersen will start to write for them as a new columnist.
Speaking on the news, Pietersen said: "I'm delighted to have joined The Telegraph as a columnist. The prospect of providing my thoughts and analysis on all things cricket is an exciting one and I hope people enjoy reading them as much as I will enjoy writing them."
Pietersen’s first column is to come out on June 9 at and will write for the Telegraph through the year on many important aspects of the game.
A veteran of 104 Test matches, the South African-born cricketer made more than 13779 international runs for England with 32 centuries across all formats. No other English batsman has more than 28 international hundreds.
After his rift with the England Cricket Board, Pietersen is spending the rest of his cricketing career playing domestic cricket and T20 tournaments across the world. He wass the captain of Delhi Daredevils in the IPL this year.
