Kevin Pietersen and Brisbane Heat indulge in Twitter banter

Kevin Pietersen was jeered in Brisbane during the Ashes last year

There are a few months to go before Kevin Pietersen is seen in the green of Melbourne Stars during the Big Bash League (BBL) this season, but he hasn’t been able to resist riling the residents of Brisbane as he took a dig at the city of Brisbane on twitter on Wednesday.

The 34-year old, initially, expressed his surprise at the announcement that the Big Bash League final will be played at the Manuka Oval in Canberra, which is not one of the main cricket stadiums in Australia, and went on to add that the country’s capital was for those who enjoy staring at walls and watching paint dry for entertainment.

Brisbane Heat didn’t take Pietersen’s comments lightly, which resulted in an entertaining Twitter conversation which went as follows:
