Kevin Pietersen mocks England T20 captain Eoin Morgan, wants Luke Wright to be selected
The door on Kevin Pietersen has been firmly shut, and there is no chance for him to make his way back into the England team for the World T20, according to what was said by their T20 captain Eoin Morgan in an interview with Nasser Hussain. What Morgan said did not go down well with KP, who tweeted his amusement at his former teammate’s presumptuous statements.
Asked specifically if Pietersen had done enough with the bat to earn a recall to the England setup for the world event, Morgan had replied, "That door is completely shut. Kevin will not be picked.”
Hussain replied: "That's from you?" To which Morgan answered: "That's from me."
Interesting he's saying it's HIS call! Very interesting! Hmmmmm...! https://t.co/NmMyQq1yhO

Pietersen had an amazing Big Bash League season, finishing with 323 runs at a strike-rate of 159.11, including scores of 62 and 74 in the semi-final and final respectively. There have been calls to get him back into the national squad, but the England team management are united in continuing to ostracise the enigmatic batsman.
The 35-year-old last played for England in the 2013-14 Ashes. He has expressed his desire in many ways to get back into the team, but his recent demeanour indicates that he has given up hope.
Interestingly and quite characteristically, Pietersen has a suggestion for the England squad in the World T20, and it is not his own inclusion. He wants Sussex captain Luke Wright to be given a look-in, the batsman who has most recently been setting the Pakistan Super League on fire.
This guy HAS TO be in England's T20 squad whenever it's announced! Not seen him bat any better! @lukewright204 pic.twitter.com/7rXB1ADBdw
