Kevin Pieterson: England require ‘shake up’ before the World Cup
England discard Kevin Pieterson, expressing his disappointment after England’s massive defeat against India in the fourth ODI, said changes have to be made to the England one-day side in order to remain competitive at the World Cup next year.
Kevin Pieterson was active on Twitter after England were humbled by 9-wicket defeat and almost twenty overs to spare against India at Edgbaston that gave the visitors an unbeatable 3-0 lead in the five match ODI series.
England’s top scoring batsman in all formats took to Twitter and expressed his unhappiness about England’s performance after the fourth ODI and moreover was anguished by the Sky Sports commentary team’s comments. The South African-born cricketer in his tweets did not indicate that certain players should be dropped, but said that the team required a ‘shake up’ sooner rather than later before the World Cup next year.
