Key points from the 2nd ODI between India and Australia
India nailed the chase to perfection to make it 1-1 going into the all-important decider at the MCG. On the back of yet another century from Kohli and a 55* from MS Dhoni, India chased 299 with 4 balls to spare. Australia has looked team from two different planets when you compare their test and the ODI performance.
Their inexperience team had given hard times to the Indian team. After having won the first ODI, Australia opted to bat on a very hot Adelaide day. They were brilliant with bat and on the back of Marsh's 7th ODI ton and handy contributions from others, posted a challenging 299 runs to win for the Indians. The chase would have been even steeper had Bhuvneshwar not bowled that well at the death. He dismissed Marsh and Maxwell in the same over to pull back the Aussies.
Here are a few noticeable points from the 2nd ODI between India and Australia at the Adelaide Oval.
Kohli's: World's best chaser-
Does Kohli have a computer in his brain? It's the computer in his brain which calculates each and every shot he plays, figures out when to attack and when to bat sensibly. How can a human being be so perfect?
Kohli is just phenomenal, especially in a run chase, where most player crumble under pressure. He seems to have a special liking to it. Throughout a chase he remains in total control of the chase. He knows when to do what. In the latest ODI also, he paced his innings to perfection. In was steady at the start. But after the fall of Rayudu's wicket, he switched gears which also allowed Dhoni to take his time which he usually likes.
He was very busy in the middle and ran a lot of runs. He would have been fuming as he couldn't finish of his job and got out at the wrong time but he was his chasing prowess which resulted in the win. It was his 24 hundred in chase and even mind-boggling is that 21 have resulted in wins.
