KKR forced to reschedule home games due to the Kolkata Municipal Elections
This may come as a bit of disappointment to the fans of KKR as the team won’t be playing any matches on their home turf at the iconic Eden Gardens during the period of April 12th to April 25th. The decision comes in wake of the Kolkata municipal elections that are set to take place on the 18th of April. This has ruled out the possibility of the boys in purple playing any game at home during the mentioned period. The IPL schedule has thus been revised as the Chennai Super Kings will now play host to Knight Riders on the 28th of April instead of the 30th. Kolkata will now host the clashes against CSK and Delhi Daredevils at the revised dates of April 30 and May 7 respectively.
The revised schedule has also led to the Rajasthan Royals hosting their match against the Mumbai Indians on 14th of April being rescheduled to 8 PM. Rajasthan’s clash with Sunrisers Hyderabad at the Brabourne stadium has been advanced to 4 PM on May 7.
