Kohli fit to make RCB return in IPL

Virat Kohli has been passed fit to return for Royal Challengers Bangalore's IPL fixture against Mumbai Indians on Friday.

The India captain missed the fourth and final Test against Australia last month due to a shoulder injury and is yet to feature in this season's IPL.

Kohli stated last week that he would not play in the competition unless he was "120 per cent fit" as he prepares to lead India in the Champions Trophy.

However, Kohli is seemingly ready to make his comeback after the Board of Control for Cricket in India (BCCI) announced his return to fitness.

"The Board of Control for Cricket in India (BCCI) medical team on Wednesday confirmed that Indian Cricket Team and Royal Challengers Bangalore captain Mr. Virat Kohli has regained match fitness," a BCCI statement read.

"He will now be available for RCB's next match against Mumbai Indians on April 14 in Bengaluru.

"The India captain had undergone rehabilitation after sustaining an injury to his right shoulder and has now recovered to be able to participate in VIVO IPL 2017."

RCB have won one of their opening three IPL matches and are sixth in the table.
