KPL 2015, Match 15: Crucial tie between Hubli Tigers and Mangalore United
Hubballi, September 9, 2015: Hubli Tigers and Mangalore United go into their last match of the Hubballi leg with just one win each under their belt on Thursday.
Mangalore United have an extra point from a washed out tie while the Tigers have lost two off their three outings. Both teams will seek to make amends to their standings on their points table.
The unavailability of KL Rahul (nursing a thigh tear) has dented Hubli’s chances and the team is struggling to fill up that void.
The batsmen will have to perk up and perform above standards if they are to keep their hopes alive in the tournament. Players like Pawan, SL Akshay, Kranthi Kumar and Chethan John William will need to make that extra effort of carrying the team.
Mangalore United can take some solace from their encounter against defending champs Mysuru Warriors. Mangalore’s bowlers can hold their own and are capable of restricting the opposition.
Both the teams have their task cut out.
