Kumar Sangakkara apologizes after an obscene tweet is posted from his account

Sangakkara recently retired from the international cricket

Kumar Sangakkara claimed that his official Twitter handle was hacked and some obscene photographs were posted using it. He apologised later by the same Twitter account of his saying he had to reset all the settings.

"Guys my twitter account has been hacked. I need to reset my account. It's unbelievable. Apologies. In the middle of a county game," he tweeted soon after the obscene photo was deleted seconds later.

"Ignore all messages until I tweet it's ok," he further tweeted.

Sangakkara was part of the Surrey team who was playing a county match against Derbyshire at Kennington Oval in London, he came to know about the incident when the innings break took place in the game. He also said in the series of tweets: "Thank god we walked in for lunch," he added.

The Sri Lankan legend recently retired from the international cricket on August 24, 2015 at the end of the second Test match against India at P Sara Stadium in Colombo. He can easily be called the greatest batsman from Sri Lanka, and arguably even the best among many.

The left-handed batsman is one of only five batsmen to score 12000 Test runs and fastest amongst all of them, Kumar Sangakkara played 134 Test matches which yielded 12400 runs at a strong average of 57.40. He scored 38 centuries and 52 fifties with a career best of 319. All the other four batsmen who scored more than 12000 runs played more than 150 Test matches.
