Latest ICC T20 international rankings for batsmen and bowlers

Brendon McCullum continues to lead the batting charts in T20Is

Brendon McCullum continues his reign at the top of the ICC T20I rankings for batsmen with England‘s Alex Hales perched behind him in the ladder. Sri Lanka’s Mahela Jayawardene, Australia’s Shane Watson and his compatriot David Warner complete the top 5 in the list.

Chris Gayle, known for his maverick displays in T20 leagues around the world, comes 6th in the international rankings.

Sunil Narine

West Indian spinner Sunil Narine leads the rankings ahead of Pakistani offie Saeed Ajmal. The third position too is occupied by a spinner, Sri Lankan Ajantha Mendis.

With Bangladesh’s Shakib Al Hasan taking the 4th place, the first pace bowler to make an appearance in the rankings is Nuwan Kulasekara at 5th position.

It goes to show how successful the spinners have been in this format, quite contradictory to the original fear of spin bowling becoming extinct when this format first made an appearance.
