Latest ICC T20I Rankings: India drop two rating points after NZ defeat
The International Cricket Council (ICC) have announced the latest T20I rankings. Asian giants Pakistan and India occupy the top two spots while South Africa have jumped from fifth to third place.
Despite losing their respective series against South Africa and New Zealand, Pakistan and India continue to remain in the top two. Both teams, however, have lost a few rating points.
The 1-2 series defeat to South Africa has resulted in Pakistan losing three rating points. But they are still the top-ranked T20I outfit and possess a lead of 11 points over the second-ranked Indian team.
India have 124 rating points and hence maintain a lead of six rating points over the third-placed South African side.
South Africa have moved to the third spot in the rankings by cruising past Australia and England from the fifth place. The Proteas gained four rating points from their series victory over Pakistan.

England and Australia maintained their rating points as they did not appear in any T20I matches in the last 30 days. After winning the series 2-1 against India, New Zealand have gained four rating points to their tally.
The Kiwis stand at the sixth position with 116 rating points. Meanwhile, the likes of West Indies, Afghanistan, Sri Lanka and Bangladesh remain at seventh, eighth, ninth and tenth positions respectively.
Further down the table, Nepal overpowered UAE to move into the 14th spot due to gaining 17 points after their series win at Dubai. UAE, on the other hand, lost seven points and went down to the 15th spot on the basis of decimal points.
