Stats: Leading run-getters in ODI cricket in the 21st century

Kumar Sangakkara

Having presented the leading run-getters in Test cricket in 21st century, we present its logical sequel - Leading run-getters in ODI cricket in 21st century.

As we all know, Sachin Tendulkar stands above everyone else when it comes to the highest runs made in one-day internationals. But in the 21st century, his records are suppressed by three other batsmen and Tendulkar is at the fourth spot in the ranking table. Like the case with Tests, Sangakkara again tops the list with 12844 runs at an average of 40.13, followed closely by his Sri Lankan teammate Mahela Jayawardene who has scored almost 11000 runs at 34.04.
