List of Chris Gayle's 15 centuries in T20 cricket
In 12 years of T20 cricket, there has been none like Chris Gayle. He is the ultimate champion of T20 cricket when it comes to hit sixes, score huge runs and demolish the bowlers. He is playing T20 cricket for past 10 years but has been unstoppable in any part of the world since 2011. He did score a century in the first ever World T20 match against the likes of Shaun Pollock and Makhaya Ntini but wasn’t much consistent later. He wasn’t bought in the 2011 IPL auctions!
Gayle’s impact can be seen from the fact that out of 7709 runs he has scored in 207 innings in his T20 career, 6019 runs have come since IPL 2011 in 151 innings. He has scored 15 centuries in T20 cricket and 14 of those have come in the last four years.
Chris Gayle made his debut in the Natwest T20 Blast, the domestic T20 tournament in England, in this season for Somerset and he has already started in the fifth gear. His scores in the first two matches are: 92 and 151*. The century (151*) against Kent on May 31, 2015 is his 15th in T20 cricket. And it is to be known that the next batsmen with most T20 hundreds is Brendon McCullum with just 6 100s. Chris Gayle is above all.
