Teams:

Sunrisers Hyderabad (Playing XI): David Warner(c), Shikhar Dhawan, Moises Henriques, Yuvraj Singh, Deepak Hooda, Ben Cutting, Naman Ojha(w), Bipul Sharma, Bhuvneshwar Kumar, Barinder Sran, Mustafizur Rahman

Royal Challengers Bangalore (Playing XI): Chris Gayle, Virat Kohli(c), AB de Villiers, Lokesh Rahul(w), Shane Watson, Stuart Binny, Sachin Baby, Iqbal Abdulla, Chris Jordan, Sreenath Aravind, Yuzvendra Chahal

Ok, that took everyone by surprise. Making Virat Kohli chase, that sounds like a no-brainer. Will Sunrisers Hyderabad’s bowlers be able to back their captain? Let’s wait and watch.

Virat Kohli: "Had I known, I would not have come for the toss. I was anyway looking to chase. Wicket won't change much. Going to be a cracker of a game. When we had to win 4 out of 4 to qualify, that's when the team came together. We focused on our strengths. We did not expect to finish at the second place, but that's what NRR does. Same team for us."

Warner: "We will bat. Given the last game, we bowled well and bowling is our strength. Looks a fantastic wicket and it's about runs in the final. It's about coming here and playing our best cricket here. Virat is leading by example and has taken his team to the final. For us to have come here and have a smile on our face, it is great. There will only be one winner. Mustafizur comes in for Trent Boult."

The FIZZ is back!

7:30pm IST Its Toss Time! Sunrisers wins the toss and opts to bat first.

Yuvraj Singh looked all pumped up as he takes on against his former team

Have a look how AB de Villiers fumbled while heading to the stadium

Quotes

"We will enjoy the night. The morale is good because we have won two big matches which gives us an edge. RCB have had 3-4 days of break. I have never been a part of an IPL-winning team." –  Shikhar Dhawan

"The biggest challenge for tomorrow I guess for all the players in the side is to not look at that game of cricket as something very different." – RCB captain Virat Kohli

6:56pm IST Great News! It isn’t raining for now and the weather is fine for now. Just in case, if the weather plays a spoilsport, Monday will serve as a reserve day.

Excitement reaches another high as the teams look to achieve glory:

Preview:

After almost two months and 59 matches of some fiercely fought battles, few one-sided ones and a number of breathtaking performances, Royal Challengers Bangalore and Sunrisers Hyderabad will meet for the final clash tonight at the M. Chinnaswamy stadium . We have witnessed some swashbuckling batting, awe-inspiring bowling and stunning fielding over the course of IPL and we hope that a fitting finale awaits for us tonight.

The road to the finals for both the team has been quite contrasting but it was amazing to witness how they both not only maintained their strengths but also excelled and bettered their weaknesses. While Royal Challengers were inconsistent till the very end before captain Kohli inspired his team to win four out of their last four fixtures and sprint to the second place, Warner's side was about to finish at the top of the table but made things difficult for themselves and had to settle for the third spot.

For the most part of the nine years of its existence, Royal Challengers Bangalore has been one of the IPL’s most watchable sides. Astonishing and magnificent, flashy and eye-catching, emotional and ruthless, RCB has held its fans like a family. In the sports crazy Bangalore, which is expected to be ‘All Red’ tonight and with little time to adjust to the conditions, the Orange Army is definitely gonna feel the May heat. But to their advantage, RCB has qualified twice for the finals and lost both so will take the field with a huge monkey on their back and they also have a reputation to ‘choke’ in the crunch situations.

With both the team studded with some sparkling stars, Virat Kohli, AB de Villiers, Shane Watson and Chris Gayle of the Royal Challengers and David Warner, Yuvraj Singh, Shikhar Dhawan and Trent Boult of the Sunrisers Hyderabad, it would be interesting to watch who batter better of whom. Some of the stars who haven’t been at their effervescent best, most notably the Universe Boss Gayle and Punjabi Puttar Yuvraj , who one would assume that by the law of averages, we could witness a whirlwind knock tonight.

Pitch and Weather conditions:

For Qualifier 1, the Chinnaswamy Stadium sported sticky and gripping pitch, contrary to the reputation of the stadium. Given how closely the home team escaped from a sure shot disaster, a similar track is unlikely to be repeated. Expect a batting paradise like the Chinnaswamy generally portrays for the Finals night, a type of batting belter that has enabled teams to cross 200 thrice in this tournament and once in a rain hit 15-over match.

Clouds have hovered over the Bangalore throughout the day and an evening shower is expected, in that case, if weather plays spoilsport, Monday will serve as a reserve day for the game.

Probable XI

Royal Challengers Bangalore:

Chris Gayle, Virat Kohli (c), AB de Villiers, KL Rahul (wk), Shane Watson, Stuart Binny, Sachin Baby, Chris Jordan, Iqbal Abdulla, S Aravind and Yuzvendra Chahal

Sunrisers Hyderabad:

David Warner (c), Shikhar Dhawan, Moises Henriques, Yuvraj Singh, Deepak Hooda, Naman Ojha (wk), Ben Cutting, Bipul Sharma, Bhuvneshwar Kumar, Siddarth Kaul and Trent Boult
