Royal Challengers Bangalore vs Sunrisers Hyderabad Live Cricket Score: IPL 2016, 4th match, RCB vs SRH match updates
23:40 (IST) RCB Win by 45 runs
This was always going to be really, really hard for the Sunrisers and that’s what it exactly proved to be. David Warner played a magnificent hand but once he collapsed, he needed someone to stand up and deliver and no one really did. For the RCB, they will be glad to see how Watson, Chahal and Rasool bowled. Good win at the Chinnaswamy, where they will mostly outscore all their opponents.
23:35 (IST), 20 overs: SRH 182/6
Watson to bowl the final over. FOUR! Beautifully played by Karn, yorker right on middle stump, Karn opens the face of the bat and guides it to the boundary. Watson trying to make a contest of this? WIDE! Free hit. No damage done. 9 runs conceded.
23:30 (IST), 19 overs
Harshal to bowl the penultimate over. FOUR! Very, very handy cameo from Karn here. Showing that he can hit the ball well. No fireworks from Morgan today. Will look to rediscover his form. They even have Gayle giving his best in the field, something is right with this RCB setup! 9 runs conceded.

Adam Milne to bowl. SIX! Karn Sharma shows that he can bat and helps himself to a maximum. Rather forgettable day for Milne, conceded plenty. Will look to put in a better performance with competition in the form of Samuel Badree and Mitchell Starc to join the team. FOUR! Full toss and Karn just guides that past the third man. 12 runs conceded.
23:20 (IST), 17 overs
Karn Sharma is the new batsman and Harshal Patel comes back into the attack. Will look to pick up a wicket. Game is meandering towards the finish line now. 7 runs conceded.

23:12 (IST), 16 overs; Powerplay SRH – 147/6
Watson back in. FOUR! Morgan makes the most of an easy full stop. Good stuff from SRH here, the target is a little out of reach but they’re doing their best to get as close to the target as possible. Dropped catch from Chahal in the deep. OUT! Fast and full, Reddy swings and misses and his leg stump goes for a toss. Great from Watson. 8 runs conceded.
23:08 (IST), 15 overs
Rasool to finish his spell. He’s been brilliant tonight, came in during the powerplays, took the important wicket of Dhawan and has been tight throughout. FOUR! Ashish Reddy sweeps away for four, he’s doing a good job here but it’s probably too little, too late. SIX! He’s making a claim to bat higher up the order for sure. 14 runs conceded.

23:04 (IST), 14 overs
Chahal is for his final over. He’s having fun now, flighting it up. Will look to pick up another scalp. SIX! A little too much flight, Ashish Reddy dances down the track and cleans long on with ease. SIX! Chahal is unraveling a bit at the moment, Ashish Reddy clears long off now. 12 runs conceded.
23:00 (IST), 13 overs
Rasool in. FOUR! Inside edge that flies past short third man. Gayle at short third man isn’t chasing that down. Tidy over. 7 runs conceded.
22:55 (IST), 12 overs
Chahal to continue. 100 is up for the SRH after a leg bye. Big improvement from Chahal after a disasturous first over. OUT! Hooda gone. This is turning into a great game for Chahal, attempted pull by Hooda, picks out ABD at long on. Ashish Reddy in. FOUR! Perfect sweep from Morgan. 7 runs conceded.

22:50 (IST), 11 overs
Adam Milne back in. OUT! Henriques gone! Milne rewarded for his absolute raw pace, bangs it in short and at 146 kmph, Henriques gets no timing whatsoever, caught by Rasool at short midwicket. Eoin Morgan in. FOUR! Great shot from Hooda, power. 7 runs conceded, SRH are collapsing.
22:45 (IST), 10 overs
Chahal to continue. Naman Ojha living dangerously, two appeals in his first 3 deliveries, yet to get off the mark. OUT! Ojha never really looked comfortable at the crease, and he’s gone for a duck, picking out AB in the deep. Deepak Hooda comes into bat. Four! Moises expertly places that between long on and deep midwicket. 6 runs and the wicket of Ojha.
22:40 (IST), 9 overs
Watson into the attack. Warner brought up his 50 in the previous over of a mere 21 deliveries. OUT!! Watson gets his compatriot Warner, short full, hurries on him, Warner pulls but is caught in the deep. Great innings David Warner, over to the rest of his team now. Naman Ojha comes in. You can argue that Watson has already done his job for the game. A mere 3 runs conceded and the wicket of Warner, great over after the timeout.

22:31 (IST), 8 overs, Strategic Timeout – SRH 83/1.
You reckon Warner’s taken a liking to the leggie Chahal, who just came into the attack. Greets him with a four and follows it up with a SIX! Just for good measure, he finishes that over with another SIX! 19 runs conceded.
22: 27 (IST), 7 overs
Harshal continues, Moises is yet to find the middle of the bat. 5 of 12 now Moises, heaping the pressure on his partner Warner. Needs to get a move on. FOUR, that should help. Heaves the straight past the bowler. 8 runs conceded.
22:23 (IST), 6 overs; Powerplay done, SRH – 56/1
Rasool continues. Interesting battle between the offspinner and the right handed Henriques, Rasool wins the mini battle in the first 3 balls of the over. Over to Warner after the single. SIX! No such troubles for Warner who stays back and easily clears long on. 7 runs conceded. Warner is keeping his team in the match as of now.
22:18 (IST), 5 overs
First look at Harshal Patel this IPL. Slower ball first up, no run. SIX! Skipper Warner is looking good here, easy for him, smashes this over long off. FOUR! Warner knew the field and plays this square of the short fine leg fielder. 11 runs conceded.

22:13 (IST), 4 overs
Parvez Rasool into the attack with his off spin. OUT! OH BOY, what a move! The intention would have been to spin the ball away from the left handers, and he gets Dhawan’s off stump the very first ball! Moises Henriques to the crease. Brilliant over, only 3 conceded and the wicket of Shikhar Dhawan.
22:08 (IST), 3 overs
Milne continues. Better line and length so far this over from Milne. Good start from the SRH, need to keep ticking the scoreboard over and not lose wickets. FOUR! Warner skies that, but it’s the powerplay so he’s safe as that flies over the covers. SIX! Warner smashes this over long on. Destroys what was a good over. 13 runs conceded.
22:03 (IST), 2 overs
Shane Watson to share the new ball. Great, great running to get two runs on the first ball. Very, very risky though. Warner struggling to get it away, not because he isn’t middling it but because of RCB’s fielders. They are on fire, great stops by Kohli & Binny. Hi5s all around. FOUR! More of the same please, Dhawan, pierces the offside to perfection. Another great stop by RCB in the field, could have been 3 more fours. 10 runs conceded.

Adam Milne opens the bowling. Swing on display, 5 wides. What a start, SRH! Express quick is Milne, 145 Kmph++. Warner’s wielding a magic bat today, outside edge for FOUR! Milne’s pace might be his outdoing at the moment, he is TOO QUICK! 12 runs conceded.
21:50 (IST)
Hello, hello. Well, we all needed a bit of a breather. Wouldn’t it be great to see a good chance from the Sunrisers? The pocket sized dynamo Warner and India’s Shikhar Dhawan could do this! Let’s go.

So, pretty much the perfect first innings for RCB. Runs for Kohli and AB. Cameos from Watson & Sarfaraz to finish the innings. Gayle didn’t perform but it didn’t matter. For the Sunrisers, it was only Mustafizur who did some damage. Sunrisers decided to bowl and they have a mountain to chase at the Chinnaswamy. See you on the other side.

21:37 (IST), 20 overs, RCB – 227/4.
Rahman so far has been playing another game. 2 – 13 in his 3 overs. Just put that in context of the game. SIX! Oh my Sarfaraz Khan, gets down on his knees and smacks it over deep square. Last ball of the innings – FOUR! Take a bow Sarfaraz.
21:33 (IST), 19 overs; RCB – 214/4
Awful start from Bhuvi in his final over, no ball which gets smacked for 4. Free hit coming up. Sarfaraz is such a talent, pierces the covers for FOUR. FOUR AGAIN! So clever, he plays this beyond short fine leg. SIXXX! That was the best of the lot, I don’t even know what you call that shot! Opens up his bat, uses the pace of the ball, and gets it to cross the boundary. FOUR! He gets out the ‘Dilshan scoop’ now. FOUR! This was a... traditional shot. Played over the covers. 23 runs conceded. Sarfaraz has taken over.
21:27 (IST), 18 overs
Rahman back into the attack. Nearly knocks AB’s stumps out first ball as AB shuffles all over the crease. OUT! AB departs for an absolutely magnificient innings, 82 from 42. Great to see Rahman pick up his wicket. So, no 100 today. Young Sarfaraz into the crease. TWO IN TWO for Rahman! Gets the big Australian Shane Watson who departs after a good cameo. Kedhar Jadhav joins Sarfaraz at the crease. Only 3 runs conceded.

Karn to finish his spell. Good stuff from SRH, need to keep Watson on the crease for as long as possible. SIX! Shane Watson announces himself to the Bangalore crowd with a great six over deep midwicket. SIX again! They are loving Shane Watson in here and why not?! He’s looking better in the red than he has in the RR blue I reckon. SIX again! Incredible stuff, Watson. 19 runs conceded.
21:17 (IST), 16 overs; RCB – 164/2
Bhuvi comes in to stop the flow of runs. FOUR! That plan doesn’t work too well then. Dot ball, what? what did I just see? Hmm. Another yorker, quality from Bhuvi. The one shining light for SRH’s bowling today. OUT! Beautiful, beautiful delivery Bhuvi. Just the perfect yorker, needed something special to get him out today and that was just that. Kohli departs having delighted the crowd with a 51 ball 75. Powerplay with one ball left in the over. Shane Watson comes to the crease for the first time in an RCB jersey. This auction’s most expensive player! 8 runs conceded, great over.
21:09 (IST), 15 overs
Ashish Reddy to continue. They’re going at 10 runs an over now. 200 looks like a given now. SIX! AB absolutely skies that, doesn’t middle it, just about crosses the boundary. Ah, we see AB shuffling all over the crease. Expect a lot more of that now. SIXXX! Full toss, you can’t bowl that to AB. Smashes it back over the bowler. 16 runs conceded.

Henriques to finish his spell. Moises has been quite good with the ball today, only really going for runs in his previous over. SIX – KOHLI! Ignore all that I just said, Henriques is going for plenty. FOUR! Everything is going Kohli’s way now, outside edge past short third man. 14 runs conceded.
21:01 (IST), 13 overs
FOUR! Kohli has not been shy in dancing down the track, and he absolutely rocks this shot through the cover area. Both the batsmen are now coming down the track, not much spin on this surface so far. SIX!! FIFTY!! AB brought up his fifty with a 4. Kohli with a 6. It’s a party in Bengaluru! 15 runs conceded.

Henriques to continue. 3 singles off the first 3 deliveries. FOUR, AB! Makes room and smacks that towards the point area in the offside. FOUR again! This time on the legside. AB is striking at over 200 right now. 66 off 32. 12 runs conceded.
20:54 (IST), 11 overs
The spearhead Nehra comes back into the attack, needs to take a wicket for his team now. Oh no, Nehra sits down, feeling his groin. Hopefully nothing too majoy. Oh no, it’s looking bad. He stops halfway through his run up. That’s it. 2.1 overs, 21 runs is all the action we will see from Nehra today. Hopefully, it’s nothing too major. Joins compatriot Yuvraj Singh on the injured list. Ashish Reddy to complete the over. FOUR! FIFTY! Straight drive from AB to bring up his 50 in a mere 26 deliveries. He’s not done though, next ball FOUR again! 11 runs condeded.

20:47 (IST), 10 overs
Karn to continue. Both the batsmen comfortably in their 30s now. SIX! This is the first kind of real innovation we see from ABD, makes plenty of room and smacks it over deep midwicket! SIXX!! Another. Makes room similarily but plays this slightly more straight, that went 111 metres!! 15 runs conceded.
20: 42 (IST), 9 overs; Strategic Timeout – RCB 73/1.
Henriques to continue. He tries the loopie slower ball yorker, that worked so successfully for Bravo yesterday. Kohli takes note, and makes a point to AB. SIX!! Kohli dances down again, this time gets much better contact and it sails over the long off fielder. Kohli dances down again, Henriques corrects his length, bangs it short and beats the batsman. Three! That should have been two, but great running but pressure on Karn Sharma, who misfields and concedes another. 12 runs conceded. Time for the strategic timeout.

20:37 (IST), 8 overs
Leggie Karn Sharma comes into bowl. FOUR! Kohli dances down the track and plays this back past the bowler, doesn’t middle it, otherwise would have easily crossed the boundary. They’re knocking it about for singles. No dot balls, 5 singles and a boundary. 9 runs conceded.
20: 33 (IST), 7 overs
The all rounder Henriques into the attack. Very tired first 3 balls of the over, Henriques was quite vital in SRH’s campaign last year and will be hoping to keep up the good work. Good variation in pace, the batsmen have so far struggled to middle the ball. Only 3 runs conceded, excellent stuff.

20:30 (IST), 6 overs; Powerplay done. RCB 49/1
Rahman back into the attack. Will be looking to stop the flow of runs. Four! Kohli knows where all the fielders are these days, he’s got some X-Ray vision and he knows to find all the gaps, guides this to the deep square leg boundary. Rahman responds well with a bouncer. 6 runs conceded.
20:25 (IST), 5 overs.
Bhuvi back into bowl, greeted by a magnificient cover drive by Kohli, 4 off the first ball. Guides the next ball towards third man, giving the strike back to ABD. Pace and bounce from Bhuvi, surprising ABD. SIX! Surprised no more, ABD sizes this ball up, rocks back and smashes this over cover. FOUR! Straight drive time now, batting masterclass by AB right now. Single to end the over. 16 runs conceded.
20:21 (IST), 4 overs.
Nehra back into the attack. AB pulls away Nehra on the second ball of the over for his first boundary, that made a cracking sound of the bat, ABD is underway. Oh boy, is he underway or what! Picks the next ball early, and smashes it over Nehra’s head for a massive straight SIX. Big wide down legside from Nehra, even with all his experience, he must be feeling the nerves. FOUR! ABD cuts away magnificiently now, pierces the offside field, that rockets to the boundary. 15 runs conceded.

20:16 (IST), 3 overs.
Mustafizur comes into the attack, his first IPL ever! Showed plenty of promise at the World T20 and a lot is expected of him. Kohli plays him for two and then takes a quick single, watch out for the electric running between the two. Big appeal for LBW on Kohli, but it clearly takes his inside edge on the way. After a couple of wayward deliveries, Mustafizur is right on the money, swinging the ball in both directions.
20:11 (IST), 2 overs.
Bhuvaneshwar Kumar shares the new ball with Nehra, starts off with a wayward wide. Beats Gayle with beautiful swing the very next ball, swinging it away from him. We’ve seen him doing that in the past. THE BIG MAN’s GONE! Bhuvi gets Gayle. Gayle Storm averted. Not the way we thought he will go, tame wicket as the ball hits his thigh pad and hits the leg stump. AB De Villiers comes out to the middle. Good swing from Bhuvi here, ABD gets off the mark via an inside edge towards the leg side. Good over from Bhuvi.
20:05 (IST), 1 over.
Kohli walks out confidently with Gayle. He’s often said in T20 cricket your best players have to bat at the top. He clearly reckons he’s up there with the best. Nehra to take the new ball, he’s taken atleast a wicket in each of his last 13 games. Huge appeal for LBW first ball by Nehra, the umpire asks him to calm down. Gayle gets off the mark on his second delivery, quick single, wow, did we just see that? Kohli on strike. Swing and a miss first up. Nehra looking very impressive, like he has over the past few months. Great lengths, 130+ Kmph consistently. Kohli ruins Nehra’s great work by scoring a boundary off the last ball.

Virat Kohli spins the coin, David Warner calls heads, and heads it is! The SRH won the toss and have decided to bowl first! Warner reckons that chasing at the venue would be easy considering that the pitch offers assistance to the batsmen. Virat, on the other hand said that the combination was so chosen that it accommodated any outcome in the toss. Bengaluru has been a good chasing ground historically, perhaps the factor that dictated the decision.
Royal Challengers Bangalore Playing XI: Chris Gayle, AB de Villiers, Virat Kohli (C), Shane Watson, Sarfaraz Khan, Kedar Jadhav (WK), Stuart Binny, Parveez Rasool, Harshal Patel, Adam Milne, Yuzvendra Chahal.

IPL 2016 4th March RCB vs SRH Live Commentary
18:40 (IST)
PITCH, OUTFIELD AND WEATHER:
The M Chinnaswamy Stadium has been a paradise for the batsmen. A true pitch, short boundaries and fast outfield, the ground has become literally a graveyard for the bowlers. Excpect more of the same.
Bangalore is unusually hot at this time of the year, but the evenings cool down a bit.
RCB bowling – Samuel Badree, the numero uno bowler in this format is injured. So is Mitchell Starc and hence their bowling looks a bit thin at the moment. They will thus rely on local talent in the form of Varun Aaron, Yuzvendra Chahal and Harshal Patel among others to deliver the goods on the day.
SRH bowling – They have got hold of Mustafizur Rahman, probably the best left arm bowler in this format. Along with him they have Bhuvaneshwar Kumar, Trent Boult and Karn Sharma, who have been very impressive in the previous versions of the IPL. And then there is Ashish Nehra who has sketched a dream comeback and has been winning hearts and games with his bowling and attitude. His performances will be critical to the team's cause.
17:40 (IST)
RCB batting – Virat Kohli was the player of the tournament in the recently concluded World T20 and he is making a strong claim to be called the world’s best batsman right now. He has got off to a good start as a captain in Test Cricket, and would love to shepherd his side to the title to further bolster his record as a skipper in the shortest form. This season they have got hold of Shane Watson and along with Chris Gayle, AB de Villiers and skipper Virat Kohli they form the most enviable top order in the tournament.
SRH batting – The Sunrisers will rely on their superstart openers Shikhar Dhawan and David Warner. They have brought in young Indian players to bolster their middle order and in Deepak Hooda, Naman Ojha and Aditya Tare they have a good mix of young Indian players.

Royal Challengers Bangalore vs Sunrisers Hyderbad: LIVE ball by ball commentary and updates
17:00 (IST)
Hello, and welcome to the live blog for the 4th match of the Indian Premier League 2016 between Royal Challengers Bangalore and Sunrisers Hyderabad to be held at the M. Chinnaswamy Stadium, Bangalore.
Virat Kohli, Chris Gayle, Shane Watson, AB de Villiers, David Warner and Shikhar Dhawan line up for their respective teams as they look to win their first IPL trophy.
The Royal Challengers Bangalore have been one of the more fancied teams of the tournament and have a huge fan following. They have always assembled a plethora of match winners on paper, but they have learnt the hard way that matches are not won on paper. RCB have finished the league season in the top four teams in four of the eight seasons so far, and have under performed at the crucial moments.
Sunrisers on the other hand have had a rather roller coaster ride and have more often than not have not performed anywhere close to their potential. They may not have a flashy line up, but by no means can they be neglected. They have been shrewd in the auctions and have got Yuvraj Singh to take away pressure from Shikhar Dhawan and David Warner at the top. However, Yuvraj has been ruled out for at least 2 weeks after the injury he sustained in the World T20.
