IPL 2016: Manish Pandey to miss next few games due to chicken pox

Pandey has had a good run with the bat so far in 2016

Kolkata Knight Riders top-order batsman, Manish Pandey has been ruled out of the next few games of the Indian Premier League (IPL) according to reports that he is down with chicken pox. It is unclear as to how many games of the tournament the 26-year-old will miss out.

Pandey has been a regular for the Knight Riders so far this season and one of the most important players in the side. In the 4 innings he has batted in, Pandey has scored 90 runs with one fifty to his name which came in a losing cause against the Mumbai Indians.

In the next 7 days, Kolkata are to play three games with the first being on April 24 against the Rising Pune SuperGiants. Pandey looks set to miss out on all the three games.

Kolkata are top of the table on net run rate after the first four matches and will miss the presence of the Karnataka batsman who has been in good form in 2016. Pandey was picked for the tour of Australia earlier this year and impressed during the tour, especially with his brilliant hundred in the ODI at Sydney.
