Martin Guptill became the fastest New Zealand batsman to reach 3000 ODI runs during the third ODI against Sri Lanka at Eden Park, Auckland earlier today. Guptill scored a fluent 66 off 78 balls after New Zealand were asked to bat first by the Sri Lankans and helped the Black Caps reach 145 for 3 in 28.5 overs before the match was abandoned due to rain.
