India hope to avoid an embarrassing whitewash

India will be looking to avoid 3-0

The third and final ODI in Mirpur has a lot in store for both teams. Although the fate of the series has already been decided, both teams will take it seriously.

The Bangladesh cricket team has had a relatively plain life. Except for a few shocking wins, they don't have much to remember over the years. But this rejuvenated side seems to be doing well now. After being introduced to cricket for over 15 years now, they finally seem to be taking the fight to the opposition.

India will look to come back strong in the last ODI leaving no stones unturned. Not only a win, but a thumping win is what the two-time World champions will be looking for.

The pitch for the third ODI is also expected to be on the slower side like how it was for the first two matches. India's best bowler in the series, Ravichandran Ashwin has an important task in his hand. He has done well in exploiting the conditions to his advantage and he will be hoping for more help from the other bowlers. He has to be well complemented by Jadeja and the pace attack.

Runs getting leaked from the other end will make Ashwin ineffective. So a much more disciplined effort is the need of the hour. Batting has to step up surely. It will be interesting to see if Rahane is brought back into the side. As for Bangladesh, everything is on track. Their batting has been flamboyant, and their bowlers have delivered.

We just hope that there are no rain interruptions in order to witness a cracking contest.
