Meet the England cricket family
As you probably know, recently there was the birth of a royal baby, who was eventually named (Prince) George Alexander Louis so to congratulate the royals on the extension of their family in a roundabout sort of way, I decided for some bizarre reason to take the England squad for the next Ashes Test and see who would be who in a family.
Alastair Cook – Captain Cook would be the Father of the family, with his vast experience of life he would guide the kids well.
James Anderson – Anderson would be the Mother of the family, he or should I now say, she would teach the kids of the family well.
Jonny Bairstow – Bairstow would have to be one of the children who looks up to the parents for guidance in the big bad world.
Ian Bell – Bell would be one of cool, calm and collected uncles who seems like he has been around forever with bags of old stories to entertain the youngsters.
Tim Bresnan – Bresnan would be the big and tough teenager who is on the verge of breaking into independence and adulthood.
Stuart Broad – Broad would be an uncle or auntie who would come round at Christmas and get really competitive in the family board games.
Monty Panesar – Panesar would be the old cousin who only visits the family occasionally after he was ‘replaced’ with the cooler step-brother.
Kevin Pietersen – Pietersen would be that teenager who is one of the best at everything but his somewhat cocky and show off ways can get him into trouble.
Matt Prior – Umm… Prior would be perhaps be an old family friend who stuck loyal to his family (Sussex) but is now off with this big, new and exciting family.
Joe Root – Root would certainly be the little baby of the family who is following closely in Cook’s steps.
Graeme Swann – Swann would be that cooler step-brother who steps in to replace Monty Panesar, the old cousin.
James Taylor – Taylor would literally be the new born baby of the family, who is waiting for his turn to get some attention.
Chris Tremlett – Tremlett would be one of the kids who is quite grown up now but has always managed to sway away from the real attention and love.
Jonathan Trott – Trott is the wise but quiet uncle who just goes about his business calmly, setting good examples for the youngsters.
This is just a little light article, please don’t take it too seriously or literally.
Anyway, thanks for reading and let me know what you think.
