Michael Clarke believes KL Rahul is a future star in the making
Former Aussie captain Michael Clarke who led Australia to a World Cup win in 2015 was engaged in a question-answer session with his fans via social media Twitter. He answered a variety of questions ranging from the retirement of Sri Lanka stalwart Tillekeratne Dilshan to the new Indian star KL Rahul.
Speaking about the rising star of Indian cricket, KL Rahul who went on to became only the 3rd Indian in history to register a century in all three formats of the game, Clarke said, “Looks like he is going to be a star.”
Australia defeated Sri Lanka in the 3rd ODI of the 5 match ODI series, which also marked the farewell match for the veteran Sri Lankan batsman Tillakaratne Dilshan. Clarke was very happy with Australia’s performance and said it was a great win by the Aussies chasing down the target posted by Sri Lanka. He also mentioned that the game will be poorer without Dilshan and the whole cricketing fraternity will miss him, who had been phenomenal for Sri Lanka over the years.
