Michael Hussey worried about Australian team's schedule
Australian batsman Michael Hussey has expressed his worries over the national team’s hectic schedule leading to the first back-to-back Ashes series.
He furthered his concerns mentioning that several key players of the Australian team would depart for Champions League duty and soon after their return, the national team would be on a tour to India with 7 One-Day Internationals scheduled to be played, leaving the team with only three weeks to gather themselves up to put on a stronger attempt to reclaim the Ashes trophy.
He said,”The players definitely understand how different the conditions are and how challenging it is changing from the different conditions – from Australian to Indian, to South African, playing all around the world.
“I’m sure there will be a small adjustment period when the boys return from India to get back into Australian conditions.”
“Getting used to the quicker conditions, more bounce, the bowlers will have to change their lengths a little bit and the batsmen will have to adjust to the faster pitches in Australia.” added Hussey, speaking to Fox Sports.
The busy time-table would allow the players with a maximum of two games to acclimatise to the longer version of the game.
