Missing kit bag sidelines Finch for IPL clash
Missing luggage is one of the hazards of travel, but sometimes it can really ruin your day – just ask Aaron Finch.
The Australia international batsman was unable to feature in Gujarat Lions' Indian Premier League fixture against Mumbai Indians on Sunday after his kit bag went missing during transit.
Overseas batsman Finch was a surprise omission from the Lions line-up for the clash at the Wankhede Stadium, but the 30-year-old has outlined the reason why he was left out on his official Twitter account.
"Just to clear things up, I didn't play the game because my kit bag never arrived in Mumbai from our last match," he wrote.
"No kit bag = No bats, no playing equipment at all, no shoes, playing clothes etc!!"
Ultimately, Finch's absence was felt, as the Lions' total of 176-4 was chased down with three balls to spare.
