Mitchell Johnson rested from T20s in South Africa
Australia’s Ashes hero Mitchell Johnson has been rested from the three-match Twenty20 series in South Africa which starts from 9th March 2014.
“Mitch has had a very long summer and we think he will benefit from returning home for a few days of rest with his family where he can freshen up,” Australia’s coach Darren Lehmann said. “He will link back up with the squad in Bangladesh ahead the ICC World Twenty20.”
The venues for the Twenty20 series in South Africa are St George’s Park, Port Elizabeth for the 1st Twenty20, Kingsmead, Durban for the 2nd Twenty20 on 12th March and on SuperSport Park, Centurion for the third and last Twenty20 on 14th March 2014.
