Mitchell Johnson to sport handlebar moustache in South Africa
Australian fast bowler Mitchell Johnson‘s moustache, which he sported throughout the 5-0 Ashes drubbing of England, is now heading for South Africa as well.
Johnson has decided to continue with the handlebar moustache, as he considers it as his lucky charm. The left-arm pacer, who was selected in the Ashes Test squad after a lengthy time out from the national set-up, was the wrecker-in-chief of the humiliation dished out to the visiting English team.
Johnson had a disastrous outing in 2009 against the Proteas. However, he is reportedly prepared to leave the past behind him in the quest to take on the world number 1 Test team in their home soil.
Johnson also had words of caution for his teammates against being complacent after the 5-0 thrashing of England. Australia’s tour of South Africa begins with the first Test match being played at Johannesburg on February 12.
