Mohammed Shami to miss India's World Cup clash against UAE
Mohammed Shami has been ruled out of India’s World Cup match against the United Arab Emirates (UAE) starting tomorrow at the WACA, Perth, as a result of a light left knee problem. The right-arm medium pace bowler has picked up 6 wickets in the tournament so far, against Pakistan and South Africa, and is among the top 10 wicket-takers.

Bhuvneshwar Kumar is expected to replace him in the playing XI. Given the nature of the deck at Perth, which assists bounce, Shami would be missed; however, India wouldn’t be too bothered, as the UAE, being an associate nation, aren’t expected to pose any threat.
Although the UAE have lost both their matches, they have given Zimbabwe and Ireland a run for their money. Shaiman Anwar, who has scored 67 and 106 to rescue his team from precarious positions, would be the player to watch out for.
India’s likely playing XI: Shikhar Dhawan, Rohit Sharma, Virat Kohli, Ajinkya Rahane, Suresh Raina, MS Dhoni, Ravindra Jadeja, Ravichandran Ashwin, Bhuvneshwar Kumar, Mohit Sharma, Umesh Yadav
