Moneyball9 Fantasy Tips: 5 all-rounders to look forward to in the playoffs
All-rounders are always the key in any format. Especially in T20 cricket, the demand for all-rounders is always high as they tend to change the game with both bat and ball as Andre Russell demonstrated this season. The same applies for fantasy as well since the all-rounder can fetch you plenty of points. A couple of things to notice here though – you can choose only one all-rounder per game, so you need to make a wise choice. And secondly, players like Chris Gayle, Dwayne Smith etc are classified as batsmen in our fantasy. So what are the options available for the playoffs? Here’s an analysis:
Andre Russell
The tournament needs Andre Russell. Let’s hope he is fit and raring to go in the playoffs. He is among the costliest players in the fantasy but you should pick him without blinking an eye as he can win games with both bat and ball. He is the sixth highest wicket-taker in the tournament despite missing a couple of games.
With the bat he may have scored just 188 runs but he also batted way down the order on most occasions and came up with useful cameos. His strike rate of 164 is another aspect to take note of. If fit and ready, Russell should make the cut, that’s a no brainer!
