Moneyball9 Fantasy Tips: 5 players you should not pick in Zimbabwe-India series
As India are all set to begin their new season with a short limited overs trip to Zimbabwe, fans around the country are gearing up for some exciting fantasy contests. Admittedly, more players from India will be in demand considering they are the favourites despite going in with a second string outfit. But not every single player is going to guarantee you points. There are a few you should be avoiding for some reasons.
MS Dhoni
Now this could come in as a surprise for many out there but yes, it is advisable to not pick Dhoni for this series. Obviously, it isn’t because there are any doubts over his ability. He could easily demolish this bowling attack but will he get a chance to do so is the question. Dhoni likes giving more opportunities to younger players in the batting department by making them bat higher up the order so it will be a surprise if he ever bats anywhere above six.
Considering some of these batsmen are eager to make a statement on the big stage, Dhoni might not get to bat at all. Also, there is a possibility of Zimbabwe batting first and collapsing early which again rules the skipper out of action with the bat. You don’t want to spend 9000 bucks on someone who isn’t going to bat a lot of deliveries or bowl, do you? KL Rahul is an ideal candidate for that wicket-keeper slot considering he will bat higher up the order and costs just half of Dhoni’s price.
