The ICC World Cup trophy's tour of India kicks off in Mumbai

Mumbai, December 02 - MoneyGram, a leading money transfer and payment services company, today launched the ‘ICC Cricket World Cup Trophy Tour’ in Mumbai, providing thousands of Mumbaikars a chance to catch a glimpse of the world’s most coveted cricket symbol, the ICC Cricket World Cup trophy, in their city.

The magnificent trophy reached Mumbai and was displayed at Mumbai’s Smaash where cricketer Virender Sehwag, the ambassador for Mumbai, was present. The aggressive right-handed opening batsman, Sehwag, was a fundamental member of the Indian cricket team that won the 2011 World Cup. The trophy was then taken to High Street Phoenix Mall where multitudes of fans, belonging to a metropolis that has produced some of the world’s finest cricketers, caught a glimpse of the top trophy. Fans enjoyed clicking selfies with the trophy and won themselves loads of goodies.
