Speaking about Mark Taylor, the former Australian skipper was an efficient fielder who predominantly fielded at the first slip and took a plethora of catches for his side.
In his long career, Mark Taylor took a total of 157 catches of which 46 came against England. This number ranks him as high as 4th on this list of players with the most number of catches in Ashes history.
#3 Greg Chappell(Australia) - 48
Another former Australian skipper on this list, Greg Chappell, takes third place courtesy of the 48 catches he took in Ashes test matches. Greg Chappell is often reckoned as one of the classiest batsmen of all-time and avid followers of Australian cricket still pay tribute to Greg Chappell for his massive influence on the game.
Greg Chappell played a total of 30 Ashes test matches in which he took 48 catches. The former Australian skipper was an all-around asset for his team which is what made him such a loved Australian cricketer of his time.
