MS Dhoni 3 losses away from equalling record of most Test defeats away from home
A string of poor performances overseas in Tests since 2011 has led to Indian cricket team captain MS Dhoni closing in on an unwanted record.
3 more Test defeats for Dhoni-led India, and the 33-year-old will equal the record of having led his team to most away defeats in Test cricket, a pedestal currently shared by New Zealand’s Stephen Fleming and West Indian great Brian Lara.
With 16 away losses, Fleming (who’s also Dhoni’s coach in IPL with Chennai Super Kings) and Lara have faced most Test defeats away from home. Dhoni, with 13 away defeats in Tests, is fast catching up.

When it comes to most wins away from home, Ganguly holds the lead among Indian skippers, with 11 Test wins for the team he led. Dhoni has 6 away Test wins under his belt.
