MS Dhoni and Suresh Raina to launch unique seven-a-side corporate cricket tournament

Indian skipper MS Dhoni and team mate Suresh Raina have taken an initiative to launch a never seen before corporate cricket league in Dubai later this week, which is named the 7 Premier League (7PL).

The unique concept will feature seven players on each side, in a seven overs per inning affair.

The teams participating will all hail from the UAE which include the likes of Dubai, Abu Dhabi and Sharjah. The players will be from countires like England, Australia, India and Sri Lanka who have all allowed their cricketers to be a part of the event.

A UAE based company has backed the tournament with it’s funds, in an attempt to bring something different to the middle-east.

According to reports, the event will not be recognised by the ICC. However, the organisers are doing all they can to attract the big names around the globe to play the league.

The first edition of the much awaited event is scheduled to take place in March this year.
